I was wondering if anyone is purchasing petal dust to use on their gumpaste flowers, the price for the petal dust is so high and you get a very small amount. I decided to purchase some non-toxic chalk from an online cake supplier, it was still very expensive, so my next great idea, lol, was to go to Michaels craft store and purchase Soft Artist chalk Pastels, they are non-toxic and for only $5.00 for a box of 36 plus coupon they are a steal. I used them to dust these flowers: I think the…

You asked me about "bling" Monica. I realized, I never answered you. Haven't had a occasion to use it. Haven't had a customer who was a "bling" type.
I finally got that sugar flowerbook Monica this past friday. It shows me how to use ALL the Jem cutters I have. Very detailed instructions. Won't be doing too much practing for awhile. Had a wall removed & beam put in ceiling. I am slowly removing the popcorn sprayed stuff on the ceiling. Slow & painsating. There is dust everywhere. Andas soon as I finish the ceiling, I will be painting. So, decorating stuff is on hold.

Quennie's Cakes said… I will ck it out. Funny, my family gave me a surprise 60th/retirement party this past Saturday. ( I'm a Canada day baby ). Had a inkling, and when we got to the restaurant, I knew. They headed me towards the banquet room. I thought in my head, I won't have a birthday cake, cause I'm the only one who does them in my family..Ha! Ha! My daughter did make lovey & tasty cupcakes though. My son gave me a cool teflon coated cupcake holder, small one to use for a simple presentation. I'm so glad they didn't get me a Costco cake....yuk
