Gumpaste tiara, numbers have candles inside made to match the theme of the cake. Since the bottom reminds me of a skirt, I decided to try smocking on the top tier. Not easy to do an entire tier, especially without the proper tools but I think it looks okay. Ruffles on the bottom took forever too.

Thanks Sandra.  That was my thought when I placed the candles.  Although with the migraine, I can't believe I was able to come up with that.  lol The picture does not do justice to the tiara.  It has some shimmer from the disco dust that does not show up in the picture.

It is beautiful and, in my opinion anyway, the candles are perfectly balanced just the way they are.  The #2 sort of balances with the bow and the #1 is like an anchor for the whole design.  I still think this is the prettiest crown I've seen.

Ah bless Goreti.  Random is usually the best way!

Thanks Betty & Katy.  @Katy, I wasn't sure where I was going to put the candles.  The last 2 wks have been pretty busy for me so I didn't plan as well as I usually do.  Realized that the board should have been bigger.  I was thinking of putting one candle on each side on the board.  Friday when I finally finished the ruffles, I was too tired and already feeling so crappy that I couldn't even think of where to put them.  Finally before my husband left with the stuck, I stuck them where they are and sent him on his way.
