HELP NEEDED WITH HOW TO DO THIS DECORATION

I have been approached to do a wedding cake for later this year, and the bride is wanting:a) it to be decorated like this in her colours,b) to be blue velvet cake My experience with red velvet cake thus far has been that the cake is really very soft and not so practical if covered in ganache and then fondant as it runs the risk of the cake "setting out".  So I am needing help on two scores;  how would I go about doing this cake covering, using what material (I thought possibly white modelling…See More

awww, Mandy, thank you for the kind words! But I am not an expert and there is no way I could ever hold up under the pressure of a food network program. I love to watch them, but I hate how those challenger cake shows seem to cheapen the work of those artists. Art shouldn't be about a challenge.

Which upside down frilly cake are you referring to? Are you sure it is one of my cakes? I'll send you the information as soon as I send this. =O)

Hi Mandy

Look at Sales SA and creativecrafts.co.za, I know they both have cutters for sale.

I have a lot extra ones that I will look at - I'm based in PMB and perhaps you would like to buy these from me at the same price that I bought them for - they range from around R48.00 each.

Kind regards and if possible email me: thecakeladyniki@gmail.com or go to my website www.the-cake-lady.co.za

Kind regards

niki
