Spongebob cake

Recently a friend asked for a full sheet cake in the shape of spongebob. I almost fainted, because it sounded a bit intimidating, however, I hate saying no, So I agreed. I made the cakes, then I proceeded to whip Up the pastry pride to fill in the middle w/ strawberries. Once that was completed I slid the layers together ( nerve racking) then I sculpted ..... Gold color

I have created some fondant appliques and molds that I need to color in a very shiny and deep gold color (like the italian jewelry) for an indian wedding.  Please I need suggestions in what color or mix of colors to use.  I have been trying to get to the right color to no avail.  I will appreciate your suggestions.

Wow, can I really do this?

Bear with me, as I may not post every day, but I will post as I do different projects. If I find something that turns out to… Continue
