Black and White Cake with Fuschia Flowers - 304F

Four-tiered wedding cake covered in white Satin Ice; tiers were different heights to achieve more contemporary proportions. I was given a piece of wallpaper by the bride, on which to base the side design on the cake. I chose to paint the floral pattern using black petal dust mixed with cocoa butter, freehand. Black grosgrain ribbon trim, with black RI dot trim. Finished off with three handmade 'fantasy' dahlias in fuschia gumpaste, sprayed with pearl luster.

That cake is just gorgeous, the splash of colour sets the cake off. The freehand work is amazing.
