Ahhh...I remember those days. My daughter napped until she was 3, and I could do all kinds of things...my son....gave his up at a year and a half...grrr

Thank you so much Betty & June. Yes, June, you're so right. Around my house, it's like being stuck in stop & go traffic. I'll get started on something then I have to stop & switch gears to do something else. I used to be able to work on cake stuff when my little grandson would take his nap. He would take like a 3 hr nap. Now the little stinker thinks he's mr big stuff & won't take naps at all anymore...lol.

I couldn't paint the side of a barn Denise...this is so very cute. And your right, if you don't have time to practice, it does make it hard to learn any type of technique, be it cakes or some other hobby, like sewing, knitting etc.

I just don't seem to be able to make beautiful flowers like I see everyone on here do. It's probably b/c of lack of practice.  Most of the cakes I do don't require flowers. If they do, it's something very simple or juvenile looking. Also, very rarely is my time my own. It is mostly taken up by the 3 men in my life, my little "three-nager" grandson who I watch 5 days a week, my 15 yr old grandson who lives w/us, & my husband. Add to that my senior citizen chihuahua w/congestive heart failure. Doesn't leave me many opportunities to practice on cake stuff except when I have an actual cake to do or if I stay up late at night after everyone goes to bed.
