I didn't even realize that Betty Crocker makes gel food coloring.  Will have to check if available in the grocery store I usually go to.

Just love the deep rich colours in these roses...beautiful. And since when did Betty Crocker make food colouring?? Never seen it here anywhere..no grocery store, or Michael's. Guess just in USA.

They're spectacular Sandra - that burgundy is gorgeous.

Thanks so much Louise and Goreti!  Goreti, I used Betty Crocker Neon purple and fuchsia to color the purple one (then dusted the edges darker) and it worked fine, no change in the gum paste consistency.  The dark red, however, required so much gel color that it is just like chewing gum...the already chewed kind.  I added a good dollop of tylose to it to firm it enough to be workable.  Margaret suggested I should use half gel and half powder to achieve the dark color without damaging the integrity of the gum paste.

They are gorgeous.  How was it working with the gumpaste?
