Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is a "test cake" for my son's upcoming wedding. My future daughter-in-lw wants a naked cake. I iced the cake 2 days ago, as I thought this will let me know how truly moist the cake will stay. I did give the cake a good brushing with sugar syrup. It's also my son-in-laws birthday today, and my daughters in a few weeks, but we'll be away so celebrating both today. And my son is celebrating getting a amazing new job. There are Dianthus, Berries, Chrysanthemums and Coffee filter flowers as fillers in this bouquet sitting in a raffia filled little gumpaste basket.

Thanks Bonnie. Cake won't be exactly like this.....different design, and I think a smaller cake. But at least I know the semi naked cake stayed moist, that was a big concern...

The cake is dressy, and the flowers are lovely.  Will fit the 'barn' theme very well too!
