I think it would make a great cake stand, especially filled with something coordinating....in your case, that could be eyeballs! Don't think I would use it to support a really big cake, though. Good find!

You know Gail, you could fill the bottom globe with Christmas balls, coloured ribbons, etc., etc ...showcase the space. It could certainly hold a 6" cake & board.

It's lovely all right. I would be wary of putting a cake on it though - looks like it might be a bit precarious? You'd have to make sure the board was well stuck on!
