Well, that settles it.  I've got to try the Cajeta or Dulce de Leche!  Some folks do not like really sweet things, but I do!  Maybe that is why I am so sweet, wink, wink, tee hee.

So glad you like and grew up with this "Dulce de Leche" or Cajeta (this one is richer, but both of them are really good) we grew up with this because we have family in México and use to go every year to visit them, and here in Guatemala you can find it everywhere because Mexico is our neighbor country.  People here love it and the taste with chocolate is very very good.

This is a very pretty, rich sounding, cake!!   I only did basket weave one time, & that was in my Wilton class.  Way too time consuming for me.  I don't like to do fine detail work, just to look at it when others do it!  I too make the Dulce de Lache, and it tastes, and looks, almost exactly like the brown, oh so sweet, Norwegian goat cheese that we grew up on.  We would just sit around, pairing off slivers and eating them, delicious !  Mom was pure Norwegian, and she & her mother could really cook!

Oh!  Some of the ladies had a discussion recently about how to make it.  I am going to have to give it a try.

Cajeta is a mexican dessert, made out of goat´s milk.  You can also make it by boiling a can of condensed milk in a pressure cooker for an hour.  It will get darker and the flavor will increase.  It tastes great.  Some people call it caramel, because of the color but the falvor is very different of that of a caramel.
