Comment by Becky sheridan on August 30, 2014 at 12:41pm: Bad but also good thing happened with Elmo. The lady who ordered the Elmo cake ordered it the end of last week - a $95 cake. I had her put a check in the mail that day so I would get it in time to begin working on Elmo. I had not received the deposit but the lady was very definite with the order so I started calling/messaging her but went ahead and made the topper. Rude woman never answered calls, never contacted me and never canceled. Obviously she backed out and didn't want to confront me. I didn't want the topper sitting around so I decided to make an 8" cake and put Elmo on it to volunteer fort my neighborhoods volunteer fire department. They have a bingo night every Saturday and people donate cakes that they cut up and serve Not sure what they'll do with Elmo - hope a child gets it!!! Elmo was staring at me in disbelief for 3 days. He felt so rejected but was happy to get to go see the firetrucks!!!
