Scarlet Macaw Cake with most of flowers added...less macaws, of course. Thinking of adding a couple more birds of paradise to the left side and three small orchids on the front right corner. Not yet decided.

Thank you so much, Inoka!  I really appreciate your kind words.  I am planning to make pictures of all the cakes entered and post them for everyone to see.

Please thank Larry for me, LOL !

Larry was just in here, and while he can accept the fact that the 'cake' is covered with gumpaste, and such, he finds it really hard to believe that the flowers are not real!  lol

You make me smile!

Absolutely.  I think all of us put a good bit of ourselves into our sugar creations.  I KNOW there was a piece of your heart in the Frozen cake because -and this sounds like a contradiction, but isn't - I could feel the warmth.

Why, thank you mam!  This cake is ALL YOU, you have put more than just labor into it, and you know it!

Bonnie, you are making me blush and a little teary eyed.  That maybe the most profound compliment I've ever received because I believe you just described the essence of art.

Words don't begin to express what this cake brings out of me as I look at it.  Wild, luscious, earthy, ...here you have created something that speaks to people, and I personally think that is a rare commodity.
