Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

My 12th cake. 2 stacked yellow sheets with whipped cream & strawberry filling, covered in crusting buttercream, smoothed with the paper towel method. Baby was RKTreats & peanut butter cups, full baby under there, not just the butt, covered with fondant, with fondant legs, panty, & blanket. Writing done with Tappit set. Bead work on top & bottom, all circles, & all giraffes, big & little, were done using my GummyGel recipe. The red were flavored & colored with cherry Kool-aid, the orange were done with orange Kool-Aid, and the purple were half grape Kool-Aid & half pure mint with purple gel coloring! I did the cake with buttercream, the baby with panty, & rolled out the blanket. I supplied the GummyGel, molds, & Tappit set, so my sister & her granddaughter could decorate with the lettering, beads, circles, & giraffes to suit themselves. I wanted to make a cake board, but they opted for the cookie sheet. I did stick around to supervise!

They also opted not to level the top layer, hence the slight domed effect.

Thanks Katy!!  It was fun, as usual, and I even got to eat a little of the leftover GummyGel!  I have decided that it is best to over flavor it, can't go wrong that way. lol  The kids, big & little, loved it.  My sister decorates in an orderly fashion, while I usually tend to do it more randomly.
