I have to design a three tier square wedding cake. Sizes, 10", 8" and 6". The real cake is the 10". I also need two 4" square separators. All of them will be covered in fondant. My question is: what do you use on the dummies before covering them with fondant, if anything. Thank you ladies...

Sandra, I have just used plain old water. Believe it or not, it works. You could also 'paint' Karo syrup on and then cover with fondant.
