This is the "woodgrain" floor for the WP cake - I thought it came out pretty good!

Jennifer - I made the fondant a light tan color to start with and then kneaded more brown food coloring into it using a technique I discovered by accident one day. It's hard to describe, but you basically roll the fondant into a log between your palms, fold the log in half on itself and then roll it into a log again - repeat until it has the streaking you want. When you roll it out it has this cool woodgrain effect. I then just cut it in strips and laid them to look like a floor.
