Cake with wafer paper flower
What do you do when your daughter asks for a cake and you are having hip/back pain? You frost the cake sitting down and leave it very rough. she told me not to bother decorating but you know I couldn't do that. Made a wafer paper flower for the top. She chose the paper for the board so tried to make something to go with it.

Thanks Katy.  My daughter told me that it was a hit at work.

Thanks Gail & June.  My idea was to smooth and then use one of my Marvelous Molds.  When I tried to frost standing up, I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to take the pain.  Sat down and just got the frosting on any old way.

Thanks Betty.  The cake plate was a gift.  It is made by Ryan of Rhyno Clayworks.

I agree, it's growing on me too, I love your "rustic" cake. Pretty cake plate too.

Thanks Sandra.  The "rustic" look is really growing on me.  So much faster.

Beautiful cake, Goreti!  I love the rough...I think it is called rustic...frosting.  One of my favorite ways to frost a cake.  The colors work perfectly together, too.  Love it!
