This cake was created to resemble a sand castle as closely as possible. The bride requested a small sprinkling of white shells and pointed turrets.

What to use for the sand was a tough issue...I think we decided on Nilla Wafers if I remember correctly.  The turrets were Wilton's white plastic columns covered in fondant and "sand."  And the tops of the turrets were ice cream cones. :)

This is soooo pretty!  Did you use graham cracker for your sand?  I have to make a colorful castle cake next week for a little girl...what did you use for your turrets?
