We are down to meeting only every other month.  Seems like people have a hard time making it to the meeting.  I would love to have a group in Ashland City....this group is about 35 miles from me....but I only know one other person who makes cakes and that is only rarely.

This is a monthly meeting?  Sounds lovely.  Nope, ain't got nothing like that around here!  Looks like you're having crawfish takeouts!

Same thing, Katy :o)  This was Wendi's class at our last meeting.  It was so much fun - we laughed our butts off.

lol - love those pieces.  Crayfish (?) crawfish (?), whatever, is so cute.

It is fun Luz and Katy.  Everyone is so talented and super nice.  We meet at Lydia Spencer-Spencer's, a member on this site, home and spend 2 to 3 hours talking about and playing with cake :o)  What could be better!

Good luck with that Sandra, you'll be great.  And I'm quite sure your class will be fun!  I wish we had something like that around here too.  Not only learn stuff, but get out of the house more and meet some new people.

Sandra I think this is great!!  Everyone brings ideas and teaches their techniques.  Great way of learning and having fun at the same time.  I wish here we have a club like the one you have.

Bonnie, it is a small group of ladies, never more than 6...like this group, lots of members, few participants.  We take turns providing a light lunch because we meet at 1:00 p.m. after church.  Two of the ladies are, and have been for many years, Wilton instructors doing classes at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Joann's. They can do anything!  If there is a technique or method in which someone is interested, the best qualified individual will do a demonstration or mini class.  That's were I learned to make hydrangeas and at our last meeting Wendi Tittle taught a class making crawfish, corn-on-the-cob and new potatoes for a crawfish boil.  This week I've asked everyone to bring her tools, I will provide the gum paste, wired cones for the rose bases and a whole bunch of wired petals because there will not be enough time for our petals to dry at the meeting.  I want the ladies to be able to complete their rose.  I guess leaves will have to be another meeting :o)
