Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is probably a bit much for a 16th birthday but I have been wanting to try a purse cake. The shoe was made using a template made from one of my shoes. Found a way to do without ruining the shoe. Simply wrapped plastic wrap around the shoe and then used painter's tape over it. Had a little trouble with the heel so it is not perfect.

Oh, I bet she did, Goreti!  This is a fabulous cake for anyone at any age.  This is the best "shoe" I've seen.

Thanks Becky.  She did love it.  She just hugged and didn't want to let go.

Thank you so much Katy.  Took forever to do though.  Left my kitchen in a huge mess on Friday night.  Was too tired to clean up.

Goreti - you have SO NAILED THIS!  It's uber fabulous.  It's all stunningly well done, but that handbag is unbelievably realisitic.

Thank you Betty.  It was very time consuming but I was pretty happy with the result.

Just looking again at your lovely display... I love the color and checking out all the little details you put in. ...the shoe trims, the purse texture, the handle. It all looks so real.

Thanks June.  Wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  Wish I had chosen a different color but I was unsure as to what I wanted.  I wasn't going to use the shoe because I wasn't too thrilled with it but hubby convinced me that it was good enough to go on the board.
