Thanks, Denise :o) If you strain very hard, you can barely tell that the bottom two rows are a little darker than the next two.
Sandra, I can see that the top row of rosette are a lighter shade than the other rows. Girl, you're being way too hard on yourself. This is a beautiful cake!!!
Thanks, Denise. I sliced it and put in on plates and am taking it, right now, to share with the folks at my dentist's office and the veterinarian's office. I had a tiny piece and it was delicious. Hate to give it all away, but I am trying to get some of the "quit smoking" fat off my butt! Wish I could have shared a for- real piece with you.
Now that things are settled down from the wknd I can give my undivided attention to this beautiful cake & the others. Sandra, it sounds absolutely delicious. Your rosettes came out beautiful & your roses are flawless. All the colors blend together beautifully. I know you put a lot of work into this & I thank you again for it & your thoughtfulness.
Thank you, Inoka! Gali and Katy think it looks like a pineapple, and I agree. Don't you?
Wow Sandra, Soooo pretty, your roses are great. Very nice
Thanks, Katy. Gali said the same thing...when you use the right tip, it just works. I am not going to hold my breath, but I hope so. I thought this would be easy and it WAS NOT! I like the idea of the "pineapple", too. Told Gali I was going to keep it :o)
lol Katy ! we all do the same thing , but thank you for confirming it for me ;x !!!
Sorry - didn't read all the posts properly! You already know about the tip lol!
Sandra, it's a 1M or 2D you need. You will be amazed at how well the rosettes come out with the right tip - almost impossible to mess up! But I do see what Gail means by the pineapple look - actually very effective as that!
