Edible Art - 304F

This was a graduation cake for a young artist. The artist had a final senior project that was a picture that they added on to via painting. It was her favorite piece and said that the piece best represented her as a person and her skills. The top tier was a hand replicated image of the painting painted in black food coloring (mixed with vodka). The bottom tier has black fondant diamonds that were impressed with a pattern and silver dragees used to seperate the diamonds, the bow is gumpaste. The artist and parents were floored on our ability to recreate the picture.
