Thanks Goretti for creme Boquet recipe, what a combination of flavors, makes my mouth water. Thank you June for looking it up for me.
Comment by Katy Nott on October 4, 2012 at 2:49pm This is probably why I 'scratch bake'. The mixes that are not so expensive are not really that good imo and we get nothing like the variety of flavours that you get. I guess the DH ones are imported.
Comment by Linda Wolff on October 4, 2012 at 2:33pm Tim, you are funny. Katy, that is really crazy! How can you possibly make any money on cakes at that rate??
Comment by Katy Nott on October 4, 2012 at 7:35am Yes Linda at today's rates it's about $5.50!

Comment by Goreti on October 3, 2012 at 4:46pm I usually mix my own "creme bouquet". I use 1 T. lemon extract or lemon juice 1 t. vanilla extract 1 t. almond extract 1 t. butter extract. It probably is not exactly the same but it tastes really good. I use it on my MMF and people ask me what the flavor is. Sometimes I add a little orange extract too. Since I don't sell my cakes, I try to make do whenever I can.

Comment by Linda Wolff on October 3, 2012 at 4:33pm Anne, I used to be able to purchase cream bouquet at our local cake supply store, but they quit carrying it. It's put out by Magic Line (if I remember correctly) It is just about the best wedding cake flavor I have ever used. Kind of a lemony/vanilla/buttery mix. I used to buy it in the largest containers I could. Now I don't know where to purchase it. I need to search on line.
