What is the best way to cover a ball shaped cake (like the wilton ball pan)?

Anyone from the Tulsa area, lets talk cake. Who out there has a shop, bakes from home, bakes for fun...who has great tips, or any tips...
I have baked all my life for family only. My mother and grandmother were gourmet cooks but I loved the desserts. I learned to bake from my mom but decorating has been all self taught. I want to take classes but never seem to have the right time to attend.

I like shopping at all thing cake and keeping up with the shop on face book. Sugar Art supplies is a good place to shop.

I'm a hobby decorator. Took some classes from Hobby Lobby and the rest self taught. I just discovered All Things Cake last week. I also like Just Add Sugar but there is not as much inventory as All Things Cake.

I hope you will let me join this group!  I don't live in Tulsa, but 2 hours away in AR.  However; my husband works and lives in Tulsa now.  He has a small apartment there and comes home on weekends.  I am hoping that there is a good place that he can pick up supplies for me - instead of having to order everything. :-}

Hi everyone!  My daughter and I have been decorating as a hobby for just over a year now.  We took the first of the Wilton classes at Hobby Lobby but just never got back for the rest, so everything else we have learned has been trial and error and a LOT of internet info.
