Great cake, great tutorial, and great writing:) Oh, and I've had good luck just using the americolor superwhite kneaded into modeling chocolate to make pure white

Lodge and McCarey told me I can mix a particular white powder into modelling chocolate in the future, but that it gives it a grainy texture. I'll give the Americolor a try sometime, though, thanks!

oh I should probably show yall my most recent geek cake thing. it's not actually cake, but rice cereal treats covered in modeling chocolate. this is a Tuskarr from World of Warcraft's "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion.
