just want to say thanks again for all the support you guys gave when I was crying over my first fondant cake that I thought was as disaster, and almost tossed it out instead of giving it to my 9 year old niece for her birthday :) 2 days of little to no sleep can do that to you!

for those that didn't see my update, she LOVED the cake! you ladies were right!

I've kept at it, and I've learned a lot. I'm making a cake as we speak, when it's done I'll post a picture. practice makes perfect! :)

My first fondant cake...Hi all how can one make fondant smooth.This is my first attempt and it cracked and had Elephant Skin.

Hi everyone. New member to this site. I am going to be making my first cake covered with fondant icing and sugar paste flowers for my Mum's 80th birthday in October. I will post a picture of it on here as soon as I have done it. Wish me luck !

Hope I post this right, my first post and here is my first Fondant cake. I had so many problems. the butter cream was too oily, so the fondant slid, but I kept on. Small miracle that this cake was finished, but seeing my niece happy was SO worth it! her little sister has asked for a cake like that for her birthday! :)

Ladies your cakes are amazing!!! In couple weeks I have to do a baby shower cake for my sister in law and I'm very nervous. It will be be a fondant cake for about 150 people, this will be my 3rd fondant cake ever so wish me luck!!
