I am a Colorado baker and would love to chat with the other 5 bakers! I live in Lafayette and spend about 45 hours per week working on cakes, cupcakes, chocolates... whatever the order is for! Love to chat with you ladies when I have free time! siasforsweets@q.com

Hi, my name is Cathy and I decorate cakes in Colorado Springs. I've been decorating for about 33 years, but am always learning new techniques, and love new ideas that others share.

Hi! I just recently found this site and I'm still learning my way around. I'm in Colorado Springs. I'm strictly a hobbyist; I started cake decorating about 3 years ago to make my daughter's wedding cake. I love entering contests...I've entered the Colorado State Fair twice, 2 Wilton challenges held at a local Michael's store, the El Paso County Fair and the Sweet Times in the Rockies last year. I'm gearing up to start on my entry for this February's STITR show.

Linda, I would love to see some of your work. I used to enter allot of contests and fairs earlier in my decorating career, but don't really have the time or energy for that any more. How fun for you, though. I have a website and blog that you can visit or comment on also...http://cathyleavittcreations.com or http://cakeideas.blogspot.com

Cathy, I have actually seen your website. You do beautiful work. I have pictures on facebook that you can look at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001542403642&v=photos

and on Cake Central: http://cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-photos-by-Elcee.html

I'll put some here, too, I'm just not sure when.

I hope the bill passes. How do we keep updated?

Linda, just had a chance to look at some of your work...your flowers are absolutely gorgeous...I'm actually still learning to make gumpaste flowers even though I've been decorating what seems like forever. I use mostly fresh or silk on my cakes. I love your work! Are you following this new bill?

Cathy, thanks so much for your kind words about my work. It means a lot from you. Yes, I am following the Cottage Food Law Movement but I don't think the bill that Denay Davis just posted about is it. I'll send you a message with a couple of links and some info.

Hi everyone, I would like to inform you all about the Local Foods to Local Markets Act in Colorado. It is now going to the house and Senate for voting. The important thing to know about this act is that it will only benefit registered growers/farmers. That is you must be a registered grower to use your home kitchen for the production of non hazardous food and sell it to the public. I think this is a bogus and unfair law and I am trying to get that stipulation removed or a true Cottage Food Law enacted. Please contact me if you want to know how you can help and join my face book page www.facebook.com/coloradocottagelaw.
